Hello, I'm Alberto
I make photographs in the hours most people are asleep — night skies, quiet water, and the birds that own the dark.
It started as a scheduling problem. Daylight belonged to everything else, so I took what was left, and it turned out the leftovers were the good part. A sky doing something enormous over a county road. An owl deciding whether I'm a threat. Fog eating a street lamp whole while I stood there for four minutes with the shutter open.
Most of this work happens within a few hours' drive of home — ridgelines, farm roads, wildlife refuges, whatever trail I can reach before the moon gets too bright. I shoot single frames or stacks, and I don't drop in skies that weren't there. What you're looking at is what the night actually did.
